No matter what happened yesterday or on the final day of the season the Red Devils will finish in sixth place. Man U and Southampton tied nil-nil at the Saints house.
Man U keeper Sergio Romero came up big with a huge PK save in the 6th minute of match. This save kept the Red Devils from their third straight loss.
Manolo Gabbiadini tried to go low right. Romero said, “Get that BS outta my goal.”
The Red Devils have 66 points good enough for 6th place.
This is Man U’s lowest finish in the EPL since 1990-91 season when the guys finished sixth.
EPL Match report: “Sergio Romero saved a penalty in a superb performance as Manchester United held Southampton to a goalless draw at St Mary’s Stadium.
The Argentina goalkeeper dived low to his right to deny Manolo Gabbiadini from 12 yards in the sixth minute.
After Bailly almost atoned for his handball, which resulted in the penalty, with a low shot saved well by Fraser Forster, Romero brilliantly saved efforts from Oriol Romeu, Dusan Tadic and James Ward-Prowse.
At the other end, Anthony Martial hit the post with a curling effort from outside the box, but neither side could break the deadlock as Saints moved up to eighth. United will finish the season in sixth position.”
